To add a serious contribution: This is an interesting time in Chinese history. The whole event is ignored by the state. It's not in state history textbooks and there will be no official recognition that it ever happened.

Bizarrely people know that something happened, but many don't know what. That must be a truly strange feeling. No dialogue exists and the state wants it to continue like that.
