Hi guys

I'm having some trouble on finding the spot on for the highs on my recorded guitars, i always tend to eq the guitar to try to kill the fizzy and those artifacts you get from the highs and i end up mudding my sounding and cant get "that" high, what are your tips?

I aprecciate any help!

Well some of the fizz will actually sound ok in the mix, as it will be masked by the cymbals, vocals etc, but still give you the high end, so eq the guitars in the mix, not by themselves. I usually do a low pass at 12khz or so and then boost 8khz for when I need the presence for the guitars to cut through more.
