My dad, brother, and myself had been playing Day of Defeat since some early beta a long, long time ago until recently. really sucks. My video card blew last summer and i haven't been able to do anything (it's oldass agp 6800gt, so i have to upgrade EVERYTHING).

you can buy cod 4 via steam it has no integration (so far - unlike some other titles)

I was a huge fan of the old dod but for some reason I don't like dod:s :/

I'm updating left 4 dead and it takes hours! Why in god's name is my download rate 100 kbits. Argh.

edit: LMAO! I just selected "benelux" as the download-server and now i'm ready updating, because i was loading with 690 kbits.
So... i live in Germany and the servers in the benelux countries are like 6 times faster. Well...

i read that several times, but when i owned left 4 dead for a few weeks, i created the steam community profile and set "german" in the profile (not the language of steam, that doesnt matter) and after doing so, Left 4 Dead was censored.
Believe it or not
I changed it again, then deleted a few lines in the registry and now it's uncut again. I also selected "benelux" as the download server..
I actually don't know what really changed the "cut - not cut" but now all games are uncut again.
(Currently playing Battlefield 2, pretty cool game)
