I personally started off with Blood inside. I guess you can start off with that one, but remember to have an open mind. If you wanna start of with the blackmetal era, then go for Bergtatt.
The way I've understood this, fans are praising Perdition city as their best. I may be wrong about this too. It's an awesome album though.

personally i love their BM stuff, but their new stuff is amazing too

shadows of the sun is a masterpiece imo, stand out songs are "let the children go" "shadows of the sun", even the black sabbath cover of solitude is great (i love it haha)
