Thursday
20.15-21.00 Ghost Brigade - 8,5/10
Ghost Brigade was a nice musical start of the festival. Second time I saw them and a surprisingly good live band for sure. The singer sang perfectly once again and they played some tunes that I hadn't heard live by them before.
21.30-23.30 Iron Maiden - 9,5/10
Epic is the world. 75,000 people, a shitload of singing along and a really energetic performance. "Blood Brothers", "Brave New World", "No More Lies" and "The Reincarnation of Benjamine Breeg" was especially ultra epic. My ears were ringing as fuck due to all the singing, which was pretty brutal.
Friday
11.00-11.40 Dew Scented - 8,5/10
Saw most of Dew-Scented's set from my front place on stage next to the Black Stage and it was beyond what I expected. Big fat sound wall and the aggression from the records was there. I wanna headbang to them in a smaller club sometime.
11.45-12.45 Amorphis - 8,5/10
Got extremely good spots right up by the stage, and the performance was really good except for some sound fuckups. They did the usual hits like "Alone", "Silver Bride", "The Smoke" and "House of Sleep" along with some stuff I hadn't seen them do before. "Black Winter Day" was pure awesome.
23.15-00.30 Slayer - 5/10
I don't know if I was getting too krvnk, but I found Slayer quite boring. Should've stayed for "Raining Blood" and "Angel of Death" but who cares? It was more a matter of putting Slayer into the seen live-list more than anything else.
Saturday
15.45-16.45 Overkill - 9,5/10
Everything except that it was way too short was pure awesomeness. Incredible energy over the full set and a great mix between old and new songs. Good bonus was to see the ultra drunken Overkill fan in front of us go from ultra running around to passing out in about three songs.
19.30-20.30 Cannibal Corpse - 9,5/10
Incredible live sound overall, and Corpsegrinder was on fire either windmill headbanging or growling constantly throughout the whole set. Great choice of songs with pretty much all their hits. "Make Them Suffer" and "Hammer Smashed Face" were particularly brutal.
22.00-23.00 Immortal - 9/10
Immortal drew a huge audience and didn't disappoint. Good song choices with both epic ones and heavy ones. In addition to the music, there was a lot of pyro explosions and random funny faces by the band members. Ending the festival with an awesome rendition of "One By One" was a real treat.
