stefan86's offtopic random retard thread - post away!

i'm planning to work with Audio Engineering, but the course i'm doing is "Multimedia Production", it's pretty much developing stuff for the the "new market" like interactive cellphones/fancy websites and shit. but the university i'm at is pretty shit

what university you're at wont matter when you finish. University is shit everywhere pretty much, it might feel like a waste of time (and it usually is) but you get the piece of paper and then you can get a job.

i was very depressed at university, it seemed like such a waste of time, and was full of wankers

pretty much same as here :p but my brother went to a fancy Uni, now he got a scholarship for Nokia, and going to Denmark for 3 years at their expenses. Who knew that study hard would pay off

the decisions you made are not wrong. you made the best decision you could at that time with the information you had and how you were feeling at the time. Have you thought about going on a uni exchange somewhere? get some experience in another country?

One thing I WISH I had done was volunteer work, like work experience. Its good experience and will look good to employers later. Just go somewhere you like the idea of working for and ask them if you can help out for free for a few hours a week.

i did some volunteer work for people that were affected by a storm, definitely a humbling experience. But i guess i'll just hit south wen i'm done with Uni, things there don't suck so hard. ^^

what about work experience for a company like what you would actually want to work for when your finished? get in good now for free and they will remember you later. It works here in Australia. Try a smaller company that might be grateful for an extra pair of hands.

South? I thought we were running away to Norway???

is the same thing, but without Black Metal and blond chicks :(
