Yes, and we should all listen to the advice on someone whose taste in metal is less stable than a sack of rats in a burning meth lab (steal!). The reasons you'll rip on a band can be the exact same reason to praise the shit out of another one.

Wrong. The Lotus Eater is easily my favorite Opeth song, although it has too much quiet wankery which is the only reason I don't listen to Opeth often. I hate how they have to break up half their epic songs by having fuckin' 4 minutes of nothing but slow acoustic strumming right in the middle. If the boring parts were cut out I'd like them much better, but for now they with always get less plays than other bands on my list.

lol, yes this is true. I can't really defend Opeth much, I'm nowhere near a fanboi, I only listen to a handful of their songs. I pick and choose the good ones from each album and then the other 75% never get played.
