stefan86's offtopic random retard thread - post away!

well ending quest is desolator -mille -jocke +rofltoffelcoptersummonium so it's almost the same band :) when we get the studio ov doom going with drums i'll force mille to drum EQ as well ;)

also, EQ and desolator are different sound wise, and ending quest can do harder stuff with the vocals and guitar parts since they aren't a live band :)

well I started growling when I was around 15-16. sucked for like 4 years. got decent. got good since I was forced to growl in desolator on a regular basis. got even better when I started learning immolation songs. the tips are mostly shit, you gotta find a way that works with your individual voice. I push loud as fucking hell from deep down in my body without "treating" the vocals on the way, jocke does pretty much the other way around. it's all about the individual.

yeah, this :) stefan has a lot sturdier voice than i have pretty much so he doesn't have to "take care" of his voice as much as i do, that's why his growls are louder than mine as well

one important tip: don't practice to åkerfelt in the beginning. the lung capacity and tone is an absolute voice destroyer

haha, yeah, some of the stuff he pulls off is pretty hard ^^ master's apprentices beginning half is a good way to build up stamina though.
at first one should really just try to find how to do a simple "oooooh" before trying to actually sing words

you'll likely love dark immersion even more since it has dooooooom ;)

yeah, the outro is nice-ah :)

I have started to practice since like 2 years ago and it's getting a little better, but when my throat is completely dry I hardly can growl, but my friend told me to practice when your throat is dry!

Have read so many fakken websites and the "how to properly growl" thread here, but I think everyone should find his own way to make his growling better-ah. :)

my growl got improved after I realized I was going way too gutural on it, kinda like barnes in cannibal corpse... after that I got a growl similar to johan's from amon amarth, and the cool thing is that it doesn't hurt my throat anymore :) sadly, I haven't growl for like 2 years now :(

ohh, I randomly say aaaaaaaaahhhh in the begfining of the practice :D

you shouldn't growl with a dry throat, drink lots of (preferably lukewarm) water when practising.

the tony bullard metal vocal tutorial posted in the growl thread helped me out pretty much when i started off

I always drink coffee

why thank you for lots of tips you gave, I'll work on it as you said

yes, you really have you find your own "voice" so to speak, not try to emulate another vocalist

CHRIST IS NOT A FASHION FADING AWAY FUCKERS <3

han är ju inte det

nicolas, if you wanna do guest vocals on demise of bajs you're welcome :) demise feat. nicolas and second feat. ludde could make for an epic gig haha

haha, would be awesome :D mille would kill the whole band in the process though
