My sis actually cooks stuff with meat in for le boyfriend every day, even though she used to be a vegan and animal rights activist. (Ok, she's "only" vegetarian now, but 5 years ago she'd get angry every time we ate meat).

i imagine that would be difficult to do, not only because most of the vegetarians i have known have been a bit rabid about it.

I think she's accepted it now though. Several years ago she wouldn't even touch anything that would have had meat on it, nowadays she even cooks it for us sometimes. Not that she has to, we're fine with vegan/vegetarian food too, but yeah.

I don't know any vegans that have kept with the lifestyle nonstop.

My brother has been a vegan for almost 8 years. He was a vegetarian for 4 years before that. He has kept his lifestyle.
