You dont think any of his (500?) songs are memorable or have feeling? I have only heard a small fraction of everything he has done and find there are lots o variation.

How about you listen to him first and THEN open your mouth? You can't pass that judgement after listening to a couple of songs randomly. I don't know where the showing off thing comes from, but if you listen to the super soft albums of him, that is anything but showing off.
