stefan86's offtopic random retard thread - post away!

I knew Nile had to be complete potheads to make such music.

Just read this in an review for a death metal album

Hell, any idiot would say this has been overdone to hell, and frankly, he'd be right. I don't exactly blame the band for that; metal isn't a genre where there's a room to wiggle and find something original to compose.

Seriously? As far as I know metal is by far the biggest genre in musical history...

For what purpose?
the pay was good, however, the girls which I was the boss* were extremely poorly educated. Now I´m waiting for a better job call. I did the psychological test yesterday , I hope that "psychopath-me" be not reflected in my answers.

i completely agree with you, but i find as genres appear they quickly become stagnant and overpopulated. finntroll puts out one of their best albums, and next thing you know everyones got a folk/black metal album. amon amarth become popular and suddenly every melo death band sounds like them. hell opeth had copycats, trivium with metalcore, lamb of god with "new american metal", system of a down with nu metal. hell even diamond head was the first thrash band predating all the big four by several years.
basicly we see one great album put out, and it defines the next 5 shitty years in metal. this can all be traced back to black sabbath, and i recently found out that all metal can be traced back there. look for yourself; doom, thrash, death metal, progressive metal, its all there man, its all there.

of course this is just my opinion, and that being said, there is still tons of new stuff being put out thats worthwhile. evil army put out one of the best thrash albums in 20 years.

That moment when your surround sound headphones start working again and you instantly start listening to brutal death metal at full volume headbanging so hard you hit the wall behind you and wake up 30 minutes later.
