stefan86's offtopic random retard thread - post away!

well ive known all of you long enough, i guess i can tell this story.

i once got so baked i passed out (say 4 years ago) and everyone at the party called an ambulance . it was fine (obviously), but once the ambulance left the cop stuck around and hung out with us a bit haha. everyone was freaked out so i think he just wanted to calm everyone down. "hey you kids got any drugs you wanna turn in......na im just messin with you guys dont worry XD"

when he left everyone swears he said "stay safe guys, when they legalize it we'll have to have a smoke". new brunswick just doesnt give a shit about weed as it turns out XD

Lucky fuck. The way that shit woulda went down here is I would get thrown on the ground and get handcuffed then brought to jail...

I can't speak for all of Canada, particularly large cities, but weed isn't really that big of a deal here. Even at like 15 if a cop caught my friends (this is before I smoked), it would get taken away and that was the end of it. No charges, no physical shit and no parents. In fact it was fairly common knowledge many of the cops smoked weed in our town, and we suspected they smoked much of what they took from us. Of course there are also horror stories in the more urban areas where the cops deal with a lot more shit and see everyone as a suspect, but I don't personally know anyone that has had weed trouble beyond a slap on the wrist.

Dealers get nailed sometimes though.

I assume that some of the folks here live in even more laid back places. I'm not sure what the drug laws are like in Sweden or Germany but I would think it's similar to the attitudes here. The US has a pretty fucked up "war on drugs" situation but that's slowly being alleviated with states legalizing it for recreational use.

thats pretty much my experience. in fact, i see a guy almost once a week smoking weed at the bus-stop (like 11 in the morning). he gets on and he stanks.
i mean if youve got a serious amount, i imagine they would do something, but they rarely ever bust anyone for small amounts. i thought for sure once a car was gunning for me. pulls into a driveway up the street. a SECOND car backs him up. FOUR officers get out. i cant run as thats retarded so i keep walking towards them, dying on the inside. as i walk past theyre questioning a homeless dude, they smile and wave as i walk by.

canada is the true land of the free

Not really. We don't have as much say and power in our politics as the US does. Technically, US citizens have more freedoms and liberties.

Around here if one is caught with a small amount of weed it really isn't a big deal. They really only ever issue more than a warning when the person is known for getting into trouble, or if they're a true detriment to society they may throw the guy to the ground and hand cuff them.

I never considered myself to have a great survival instinct, but damn, I feel myself coming out of yet another Apocalypse alive.
