stefan86's offtopic random retard thread - post away!

i thought a second opinion could be needed x) what about the food?

As I said earlier, here whe have a loooooot of barbecues for prices like 3 EUR, you pay 3 EUR to eat as much barbecue as you can..and good barbecue...Europe dont have that with the same prices and quality/diversity, I know Scandinavia have lots of fish and this kind of stuff but i hate fish:mad:

I HATE recording drums. We've been trying to get a drum track for one song done and every time it fails. We tried having the drummer record to a metronome first but some of the weirder parts kept throwing him off without hearing teh guitar, so we tried with the guitarist playing it live from his amp into the headphones as Drums record and the tempo ended up screwy. Tried it with the recorded guitar track and it was screwed up since Drummer was trying to follow a guitar track which isn't going to be perfect since it was recorded on its own. Fuck drums.

Drummer seems pretty good so I don't know if he is the problem or everything else is. Shit is pretty primitive right now. He improvises awesome sounding shit when the song it played live but recording just isn't working

McBagel recorded all the drums for the Desolator demo with a metronome and it is hard and takes time. It is one thin to play during rehersals with the entire band and a very different experience to record something, recording takes a lot of practising to get right.

Yeah I think you're right there. I've only recorded with one other band but our drummer kicked ass and required very little coaching. I was not in charge of recording/mixing at that time. Now I'm doing most of the shit and I'm pretty annoyed because I don't know whether to blame my lack of production skills, the drummer's skill or if I should just chalk it up to the learning process. We should probably be dedicating long hours to making it sound good instead of jamming to random shit for 3 hours then recording for 1 expecting something good

Thats hard ): I think the best is go out of the country, but its not that easy.
I think this what fucks up most of the third world's countries.
If every genius or someone who has potential could help developping their country in one way or another... look how the america is awesome at the brain draining ! most people who work in Microsoft are asians i think.. couldn't they do that in their countries? yes, but we're selfish, we know that we won't live more 100 years MAX so we try to enjoy our lives without thinking of the next generations, that's because of the lack of nationalism and all the shits that our governements has put us through !

You have no idea what social issues are, trust me :p
Living in scandinavia > Living in Eastern Europe.
Other than fact that this country has been going through massive political and economical shits for the last 20 years, unemployment rate is currently 25 % and its getting higher, sometimes im too afriad of the fact that one day the only thing I could do with my university degree is to hang it on the wall :erk: My cousin got rejected for a job cause she didnt want to promise t that she cant wont pregnant in the next 5 years so her boss dont have to pay some taxes in case she gets pregnant. My own mother works illegaly for 400 euros a month.
So no complaining please :)

25% of unemployment? that's a lot,but do all those 25% of people in the labor force have diplomas or degrees or just people who droped out of school and went looking for jobs instead?
Here, you have to have master or enginnering degree (and bachelor in some cases) in order to get a job that pays you above 600 EURO, especially in public companies. Private ones are usually foreign, which means, exploiting people just like in those call centers.. nonetheless, it helps the currency import for your country. But still sucks.

Th drummer should realise that it is probably his skills that are lacking, there are loads of musicians who are fantastic on stage and rehersal but they cannot record to save their lives. I would say that the drummer should focus on learning to play along to a metronome (every musicians should have the metronome as their best friend) properly and perhaps make his drum patterns and beats a bit more simple that usually solves a lot.

Yes, Mcbagel had to restructure almost all his drums for our demo cos he could not record the drums as fast or with as many fills as when we are playing in rehersal or live. I did that with my bass lines as well to some extent.
