i thought a second opinion could be needed x) what about the food?
I HATE recording drums. We've been trying to get a drum track for one song done and every time it fails. We tried having the drummer record to a metronome first but some of the weirder parts kept throwing him off without hearing teh guitar, so we tried with the guitarist playing it live from his amp into the headphones as Drums record and the tempo ended up screwy. Tried it with the recorded guitar track and it was screwed up since Drummer was trying to follow a guitar track which isn't going to be perfect since it was recorded on its own. Fuck drums.
McBagel recorded all the drums for the Desolator demo with a metronome and it is hard and takes time. It is one thin to play during rehersals with the entire band and a very different experience to record something, recording takes a lot of practising to get right.
I think this what fucks up most of the third world's countries.Sigurðr;9131308 said:Thats hard ): I think the best is go out of the country, but its not that easy.

Yeah I think you're right there. I've only recorded with one other band but our drummer kicked ass and required very little coaching. I was not in charge of recording/mixing at that time. Now I'm doing most of the shit and I'm pretty annoyed because I don't know whether to blame my lack of production skills, the drummer's skill or if I should just chalk it up to the learning process. We should probably be dedicating long hours to making it sound good instead of jamming to random shit for 3 hours then recording for 1 expecting something good
