stefan86's offtopic random retard thread - post away!

did you have any significant diplomas at least? cause I still only possess a high school diploma, i spent a gap year to go from one college to another, and then the previous academic year (2009/2010) was a weird fail in my new college, I think I will go to a private uni instead, better teachers, vibe, and a lot, a lot of rich niggahz

yeah i got a couple of degrees and a PhD in bullshitasssuckingsciencecrap out of the whole thing, but it changed me. I am now much more unhappy with life and want to run away and become a cocktail waitress somewhere awesome.

We dont really have private universities here, all government funded so i cant really comment on the difference. But if students pay their way instead of having it government funded the university is under more pressure to pass students which is odd but true here anyway. the other thing you might consider is going overseas to study in one of the countries that offer free education for international students! They may have a different system/courses that suit you better. The more interested you are, the more chance you have of succeeding.

At least, you have great degree which enlarges the spectrum of job opportunities.

I think private universities care more about their reputation, so they have better experienced teachers than in public universities, better vibes and infrastructures. That's why they are way too expensive (dunno if the one i'm thinking about is expensive or not).

I wish I could. I would like to study in English instead of French and I don't know any country that offers free education (or cheap) in English.

EDIT : also, i see a magic numbah in your postcount :)

In my case it actually reduces my opportunities as im now overqualified for lots of stuff. So i would really suggest being sure about what you want before you do postgraduate study (BUT DOOOOOOONNNNNTTTTT!!!!). BUt u are right about undergrad, it definitely opens up stuff.

What about Sweden? I am only speaking as an outsider, but there are opportunities for free postgraduate study there for internationals, so there might be for undergrads too? Aren't there english based places there? Please correct me if I am wrong Viking men! :)

That's the first place I think of.
I don't know how the immigration procedures work and stuff. But as i've seen, those who pay for education, pay a great amount of money that i'm not sure my parents can afford. I'm doing my investigation on this subject right now tho :p

If you cant do that then you could consider doing a study abroad program. Most Uni's offer a 1-2 semester program where you can go to their affiliate uni overseas. I wish Id done that, but its hard in science. Its a great way to learn a language and get contacts so u can go back there later if you want.

HOLY FUCKING DUCKSHIT BATMAN i sound like a lecturer. I am soooooooo sorry. I hate myself a bit right now :( see this is what uni does to you. turns you into a walking (ok typing) lecture.

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH :Puke:

shoot me now please. i am morphing into the enemy.
