Stems/Raws for Mix Practice Thread!

It doesnt? Well then listen more carefully or check your speakers, cause it sounds perfectly fine on my Bose stereo and NS10´s in the studio. Btw, its a 6505 through an orange and randall cab.
P.S.: Not trying to be a douche, but listen to your mix first before bragging on about how many plays your mix has. Then listen to your mix. I think it could do way better for the way you talk ;)

I listen to it in my Audio Technica ATH-M50, and i still don't really like the tone, could be that the guitars are too loud or maybe i've just getting used to the sound of Amp sims. Im not bragging, i just think its kind of funny that a remix of a half decent song gets that many plays, and I don't think anyone would listen to it if the mix was crap.

Lets see what Orion or someone else has to say, it's maybe just not my cup of tea.

Alright guys :) thanks for the pointers! You´re right, i also always tend to have the most "problems" dealing with the rhythm guitar tone. I never get it to where i say, wow...thats fuckin GREAT! Maybe i should break it down to just one cabinet, instead of using 2 different ones. And i´ll take your advice on getting into more EQ´ing alot, richard.

Also gave the DCE song a try. Still working on it though, including re-amping the rhythms again cause in the part where the guitars play the open string in the breakdowns it sounds so dramatically thin. (No amp-sim bullshit) I´m guessing they had low gauge strings. Anyways, real cool song to mix! Would love to see more of these on here. Oh, and soundcloud kinda sounds shitty to my ears, so mind the uploading quality.

Oh, before i forget, i don´t have a proper bass-midi plugin cause i never use midi bass, ever. Could one of you guys who´ve had a go on this send me the bass.wav ?

Why not get a bass VST? Zombass costs like 20$ and it sounds pretty sweet.

Drums sound pretty awesome. The mix desperately need that bass track behind them to fill out the low-end. Guitars have a bit of that '57 honk that could be cut out for my tastes.

More stems guys! Message my production page on facebook if anything is 404!

Thanks dude! I know i know! i´ve just never used a midi bass, ever. I hate that shit. But, i´ll get Zombass just for the heck of it.

Yes, you´re right, there is a bit of that 57 shizz in there, but i tend to have a hard time locating that frequency to suck it in.

Zombass is a pretty nice tool if you don't have a high-quality bass handy (or at all), it can be a handy songwriting aid too, in my experience. If I get around to mixing this song I'll upload my bass track.
