Just Sayin'! :Smokin:

awesome. I think those new things will be awesome additions. For those that don't work with rock/metal alone, often SSD was a waste of money. Hope it is not anymore.

I like how they've included a long list of keywords resembling the filename of a questionable porn photo.

no new features? just more samples?

What feature would you expect from a sample set?

For me, since it's not metal oriented only, and it features RAW samples, it's a winner. But as anyone is sayin, I want to listen at cymbals cause I'm one of those who don't like Slate cymbals in past products...

not being just another sample set and a dedicated sampler maybe? ;)

i don't care about the raw samples as
i can get good and VERY realistic sounding samples everywhere
(S2, AD, BFD etc.)
i just don't see the big deal here. i am not saying that SSD4 has to be bad
but for being version FOUR it still feels like a new product for me...

SSD samples always sounded ACE the thing that was missing is realism.
you can't get realistic sounding cymbals using just 10 or a few more
samples, no matter what kind of sample altering algorithm you use!

ok, maybe i got this all wrong but as i see it we are getting more samples
with much more detail but all these samples will be RAW and NOT sounding like the typical SSD samples we all love so much, seriously WTF!?

cheers
S.

I think that a kind of DFH/Superior Drummer style layout would have been nice, then you could have like 30-40 cymbal samples instead of being stuck with 9 if you use Aptrigga :( But if these really are unprocessed and all that, I'd be tempted to get this :D
