I'm intrested in what strings people prefer to use, and why...I havnt really found a type I really love, so I intend to look into peoples choices, since I'm wanting a warm tone, Obviously Nickel plated, bronze/tin strings would be the main choices, but I really dont know which ones would suit me, I understand I'm going to have to try...but no point wasting my money...

I use GHS Boomers (.40 gauge, nickelplated steel) on my four-string right now, and I love them. They sound even better now that they've mellowed down a bit (bought them about 2 1/2 months ago).

Ernie Ball Nickel Plated 1046 RPS - great feel AND tone (from the moment that you open them to the moment when their intonation goes off, though their 942s are a little too bright brand new), but you have to wipe them after each and every playing session.

D'Addario .009 sets. Best strings available. I also fall back to the Musician's Friend bulk sets occasionally, and Ernie's Super Slinky.
