Wouldn't you like to know
Different situation this time. I've been meaning to get off my lazy ass and record some vocals for the longest time. Today I went a borrowed my buddies fostex unit. I've got a couple songs in mind that I'm going to do. Wreath, and Hours of Wealth by Opeth, as well as a couple Pink Floyd songs.

Anyways, if you have any suggestions of shit you want to hear or something I'd appreciate it.

you got the lyrics fucked up in the song a few times

Your lows are pretty good, but your transition from low to high needs work. I'll try and record mine asap so I can get as much flaming as possible.

Thanks dude, lol yea I know I screwed up a bit. I've been working on the transitions a bit, but I dont usually do them much in my band, I either just do high or low. Looking forward to hearing yours, I love listening to people do their growls.

Well honestly, that's why I believe Mike is the best death metal vocalist alive right now. His transitions are so fucking amazing. He's probably the best training tool out there as far as getting every aspect of your growls to sound great.

Yeah, hes my favorite vocalist. Singing along to Opeth is how I learned to growl. I sound more like Shagrath than Mike when I do my highs though. Too bad I cant do soft vocals, do you have any tips for those besides constant practice?

Pain of Salvation - Iter Impius

It isn't Daniel showing off his range or anything, but is rather "emotive."

I definetely want to hear what you can do King.

If you want something fun (no cleans) try some Be'lakor. The lyrics are pretty good (I may need to send them to you) but check out www.myspace.com/belakor.

Thanks, I promise I won't disappoint.

Some suggestions:

Death - The Philosopher
Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face
Candlemass - Crystal Ball

:erk:

^ Rather difficult to do that one.

Helps if I actually like the band too though.

I wish I had videos to do a song, all i do is record them on audio, no one seems to know who the hell my highs sound like. I'd probbaly do Morbid Angel-Rapture if I did a video.
