anyone know anything about this Avant Garde Tolkien folk weird black metal band. Are they any good? I was thinking about getting one of their cds.

Yeah, it's one of my favourite bands actually! Check out the album Stronghold, it's their best I think. But whatever you do, do NOT listen to their first album, Lugburz..it's horrible

i have two albums: lugburz and dol gulder ... and i must say that i like lugburz much better! dol gulder really bores me ...
but still, even lugburz can't keep me occupied that long ... don't know what the fuss is all about. samething with agalloch btw, but i'll get flamed for that one ...

start with Lugburz or Minas Morgul and work forward from there. Lugburz has more black metal in it, after that they moved more into synthy electronic stuff mixed with some metal elements, but it captures the perfect Tolkein atmosphere.
