Lots of newbies don't know what they are coming on here for...:erk:

I know why I came here. I wanted to know who wrote a track that I didn't have any info on. Turned out that they are/were Cain's Alibi.

Almost all shops that were playing 'music' I've been in were playing pop. I think I'd prefer SoD.

Remember, opinions vary, not everone likes listening to growls, and:

"Arguing on the internet is like running in the special olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded"

Already heard that quote. You fail.

I said lots of newbies, not all of them.

"The right way"?!

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

You are kidding, right??
No. I've liked them since Deliverance and they were much more obscure then, now people are getting into them because they listen to RR bands. I don't hate RR or their bands, (I hate some of them) but Opeth has gotten much more mainstream because of that (Only Ghost Reveries though.)

This is all just an opinion, and if you don't like it, I don't care. I don't want to start an argument though.

So don't reply to this because I simply won't reply back.

They weren't obscure then and their best days were already behind them.

Morningrise was when they were truly great, Blackwater Park was when they got the progressive death thing working. Other than that, nothing special.

Pbbbt whatever, I happen to like all 8 of their albums quite a lot.

Look who's on the defensive now....

That's one of the problems with elitist comments like the one you made above: there's always someone who was into it before you, and doesn't think you "got into it the right way."

Or in your case, a lot of someones... :tickled:

I personally think Slayer is shit (now), but Emperor and Celtic Frost are good.

As for Opeth, if you are a fan just because of Ghost Reveries, then you did not get into them the right way IMO. (I like GR though)

But he said in general, he didn't say ALL shit music.
GR my first Opeth album? No. Blackwater Park. Then Still Life. Then My Arms Your Hearse, then Ghost Reveries. I can see what you mean (about Mudvayne and shit like that) but I happen to like em. I have a soft spot for nu-metal, so fucking what?

lol @ people who've been here for less than three months calling other people newbies.

I'm a legendary poster under a new account.

It's rather ironic you should say that. I can't help but notice the excessive amount of flaming you partake in.

Look up irony. Yeah... I thought you'd feel dumb.

? I know what irony is. Perhaps you are too dumb to have understood what I have said, or perhaps you don't understand how irony can be applied in more than one sense.

Wow. I feel cut. No, really. I am.

Idiot...you don't even understand what VampyrRose is getting at...

Maybe we should faggot stick his hands together, then tie him to a fagot of wood and set it aflame?

While I'm doing this sort of thing, I may as well bring to your attention something I stumbled across ages ago. Some of the various meanings of "fag". (from http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=define:fag&btnG=Search&meta=)

# act as a servant for older boys, in British public schools
# labor: work hard; "She was digging away at her math homework"; "Lexicographers drudge all day long"
# fagot: offensive terms for an openly homosexual man
# tire: exhaust or get tired through overuse or great strain or stress; "We wore ourselves out on this hike"
# cigarette: finely ground tobacco wrapped in paper; for smoking

Insulting me is pointless, don't bother.

Don't worry, I'm not going to bother. This whole thing is pointless. I'm gonna drop it and leave it.
