I'd just like to point out that anyone who uses the term "nu-metal" in anything but a derogatory sense deserves to be teased, if not flat out ridiculed.

"nu-metal" is a blanket description of rap-metal, jump-da-fuk-up-core, whatever the fuck Crazy Town was, and any other kind of drop-D musically insipid crap that came out of the late 90s.

i actually like SOAD. not my favorite band, but i like them. but i consider them an 'avant-rock' band.

nu-metal is a fucking stupid description of them. SOAD do not play the same kind of music as Limp Bizkit.

I would think someone has the decent sense to not mention specific here. There is other forum sections that would be more fitting. SOAD should be in non metal or pop culture.

some guitar distortion does not make something metal. The band is not 'metal'. korn is not metal,etc..
