Tears

There are 2 or 3 songs that strike that emotional chord with me, but the top 1 for me is "Comfortably Numb". For some reason I get choked up during the bridge where it says "...I turned to look but it was gone. I cannot put my finger on it now. The child is grown, the dream is gone." I think this is one of the greatest songs ever written.

Another one that gets me is Iron Maiden's "Stranger in a Strange Land". Just the part where it says "No brave, new worlds." Don't ask me why, but it gets me every time.

I think I'm getting old. :)

Amazing Grace made me cry at my grandma's funeral...

but thats a little different.

I actually thought I would never be able to hear that song again without breaking down, but its not such a big deal now.

Oh, and Simon and Garfunkel's 'Cats in the Cradle' (not sure if that is actually the songs title) is lyrically the most powerful stand alone for tear jerkin
cats in the cradle has nothing to do with simon & garfunkel... it was written by sandy chapin, and reworked and sung by her husband, harry, after the birth of their son.
