Terrible songs by great bands.

Dirge For November is my favorite Opeth song.

And can somebody please explain why "Gangland" by IM is such a bad song? everyone seems to hate it, hell ive even practically TRIED to hate it to see what people mean but i just don't get it. It's a great song!

I know what you mean, I love that one as well. If there's a medicore song on NOTB it's "Total Eclipse".

Edge of Sanity "Song of Sirens"
In Flames "Eye of the Beholder"
Dark Tranquillity "Archetype"

i did like the Eye of the Beholder cover,

Bad songs by good bands? How about the st. Anger album by metallica?

I concur with this!

also...

Iron Maiden - "Weekend Warrior", "Judas Be My Guide"
Rush - "Tai Shan", "Dog Years"
Queensryche - the entire Q2K album
Megadeth - "Crush 'em"
Dream Theater - "Lifting Shadows Off A Dream" (I anticipate some flak for this one. It's not a completely bad song but it kinda reminds me of U2...a band I detest!) :ill:

I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing-Aerosmith (come on guys...)

"Love in an Elevator", too :ill:

also...

Pink Floyd - "A New Machine part 1"...that is, if you can call 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason' a Pink Floyd album. The David Gilmour Project would be a more appropriate moniker for 'AMLoR'.

The Offspring-Pretty Fly (For a white guy)

This song totally ruined their career. The rest of the Americana album kicked ass (except maybe "Why Don't You Go Get a Job"). I love everything put out by the Offspring before this point. Jesus Christ, they always picked the worst song on the album to release, though...

Yeah, Pretty Fly did ruin Americana.

The Kids aRen't Alright is one of the greatest punk songs ever, however...

the entire album of mechanical animals by marylin manson is pure shit in my book
