Hobgoblin=good, but overpriced (Here in the U.S. anyway)
Even though it's completely unrelated, how about some Satan Gold? That is some of the best Belgian I've ever had, seriously!

I haven't had that... I'm pretty much addicted to Hobgoblin and Tilburg's Dutch Brown Ale.

Hobgoblin is about $3 a pint here in TX. Wish we could get them to lower the price, but that won't happen until the beer becomes a household name. Most people I tell about it are like, a Hob-what?!?

before judging someone's work, do you even contribute something or you're just a big fatass who sit in front of his screen everyday? anyway.... i don't see how can you review a metal album since you don't even like metal to begin with.
You are an idiot.
I am a listener and I have a right to express my opinion. I don´t have to create an own album.
I can clearly review a metal album and I don´t know where did you get that I don´t like the metal, just thanks to my wide music taste I can judge it better than majority of metalheads.

I think a quote by Wrest of Leviathan works well in this situation: "Mollusks that deem themselves qualified to "review" for their inability to create anything..."
Yes, you are retarded, thank you. Then all musical critics are just nerds (note: I don´t call myself a critic at all).

Aren't you wonderful. You don't even belong on this forum.

I still don't understand why you'd hang around here if metal wasn't you're favorite genre.

Yes, you don´t cause you are a nerd.
I like metal for its aggression and feeling...and technical qualities in the other hand. Fusion of industrial and metal gives me exactly what I want to - fururistic view raw aggression...same with symphonic and metal - precise and refined feeling of imagination...same with black metal - freezing feeling in impure robe...and so on..
..that´s why I listen to metal, why I like it and why I post here, metal gives me some feelings that other genres don´t do.
Satisfied?

Why is this album taking so much criticism? Nobody bashes black/thrash bands like Toxic Holocaust, Barbatos, Abigail, Aura Noir, Destroyer 666, etc., even though they are basically the same thing.

1. The "black thrash" (actually speed metal) movement gets a lot of undeserved credit anyway.

2. It's pretty much a full on hardcore album with some crusty riffing and Nocturno Culto's standard vocal style (albeit, more rhythmic after the hardcore fashion). So it's not "basically the same thing."

Unless I'm completely mistaken about the new Darkthrone, because I haven't heard it yet, but the impression I'm getting is that it is some punkish, thrashy black metal. What is wrong with that? That's how black metal originated (Venom, Bathory, even earlier Mayhem had this feel).
I totally agree that "black n roll" is an appropriate label for the new Darkthrone CD. And I agree that though different, Destroyer666 is also black n roll, with their catchy brand of black metal. I've never understood how anyone could label Destroyer666 as thrash, as there is absolutely no thrash influence at all in their riffing style, save for maybe a couple songs.

I have "Cold Steel for an Iron Age", and it's pretty thrashy. Maybe their previous stuff isn't so much.
