the ENSLAVED thread mk II

Vikingligr Veldi is certainly a "cornerstone" album in the Viking/Black/Metal realm. Ivar was 16 when they recorded that album. That, in and of itself, is an incredible accomplishment.

i cant stop listening to ruun. essence, wow, never cared for that song back when ruun came out, but now i cant stop listening to it.

it takes Opeth about 2-3 albums to jump to the next cliff of progression and innovation whilst it takes enslaved only one album to reinvent their wheel most of the time.

Personally I like it when a band can stay consistent for a while. I certainly dig Enslaved, and I was even on board for the whole "and now for something completely different!" Katatonia move, but I'm fond enough of Opeth's sound that I don't mind gradual change.

For the record I prefer Opeth to Enslaved.

The problem with that is that you eventually end up with square wheels or RUUN, and however you spin it, it's still useless.

Please, could someone give the e mail or phone numbers of these guys to Enslaved :

Daniel Bergstrand
Andy Sneap
Neil Kernon
Devin Townsend

P.S : The low-fi tr00 black metal production values is null FYI.

I actually would be interested in seeing what Devin Townsend and Steven Wilson could do for their sound. I think the Enslaved production is fine and you're clearly whinging the sake of whinging.. But yeh.. I wonder what those guys could do!
