the ENSLAVED thread mk II

Don't care really, they are clearely capable and interesting musicians but oh God the production of their records suck ( and I only know the 4 latest ones, I am sure that the first ones are way more tr00 black metal sounding ) donkey balls simultaneously.
Thei music sound so thin and retro 70's ...:Puke:

I know it s part of the scene but I think there is a niche between current Enslaved album production and digital metal modern production ( Andy Sneap, Nordstrom, Tue Madsen) to be found so they can actually sound good without being overproduced a la Dimmu.
I don't know call a sound engineer but they have to do something because I think their production is their glass ceiling.

Opeth would never be as big as they are if all their albums sounded like the first two.
They worked with Nordstrom, Sneap, Wilson & Bogren since then.

I wish Enslaved would do the same kind of thing.

I am not saying that a good production does everything (you can't polish a turd really) but it sure does help.

Stay Country !

hmmm, i partially agree with this. i mean, ruun could've used more emphasis on the drums to make the sound feel more whole.

an enslaved album produced by wilson and mixed by sneaps, im salivating...

The newer Enslaved releases suffer badly from nasty digital production. Too clean, too shiny, and too fucking sterile.

Of course, it doesn't help that the music is painfully gimmicky and unimaginative.

Stfu and gtfo.

This thread is for people who actually like Enslaved iirc.

Says who?

Besides, I'm pretty sure he's said he loves the first few Enslaved releases.

You should respect other's opinions and tastes. If you don't you're perfectly entitled to address the point, which you are apparently incapable of doing.

I'm pretty sure that general consensus says that this is a thread intended for the people who like Enslaved. Look at the ratio of threads for bands that people like compared to ones they don't. And rofl @ telling me to respect an obvious troll. Lmao. Iirc, he said he liked Vikingligr Veldi and that's about it.

cacophonous racket for the most part, really...to me.... but some like it...so I'll resept that and leave it at that.....they do pique my interest occationally on the acoustic interludes and orchestrated parts as well as the doomy bits....
