the focus of my hatred for today

no, i haven't.

i'm sure there is truth to Brock's story, but i'm sure he fabricated enough of it to make the book sell sensationally. so i don't want to ever cite him in my arguments against conservatives, because i might cite something that would turn out to be fake and impugn my argument.

and then there are the wingnut "news" orgs like newsmax and worldnetdaily... although I did follow a link just now to this probing indepth worldnetdaily news bombshell:

An Iranian woman has reportedly given birth to a frog.

According to the Islamic Republic News Agency, the unnamed woman from the southeastern city of Iranshahr delivered a live gray frog after what was called "a bizarre labor."

The animal's birth followed severe bleeding and was reportedly covered by mud.

Dr. Varasteh, a gynecologist, corroborated the unusual event to the Farsi-language daily Etemaad, saying the woman's menstrual cycle had stopped for six months and a May sonogram indicated the presence of a cyst in her abdomen.

Varasteh believes the frog larve entered the woman's body where it grew to adult size. Others, according to the BBC's translation of the Etemaad article, speculate that she unknowingly picked up the larve while swimming in dirty water.

But not all Iranian physicians are accepting this explanation. Etemaad notes that some medical experts have commented on the frog's similarity to a human.

A clinical biology expert, Dr. Aminifard, reportedly told Etemaad, "The similarities are in appearance, the shape of the fingers and the size and shape of the tongue."

The "so-called frog" has not yet been tested genetically, reports Etemaad. The woman has two healthy children. [/font]

Regardless of the integrity of its creator, whom I still respect for attempting to expose the workings of conservative journalism, mediamatters.org does do a good job at making right wingers look like self-righteous fools (as if more was necessary...). Today they have an item about a Hannity sub praising an attack ad equating Gore's recent speech with Hitler...

let me also add there was a guy who wrote a letter to the Boston Metro today condemning Michael Moore and advising that we go ahead with the Patriot act so that "the message could be conveyed to liberals that if you criticize the president, you go to jail."

ahahah Greg!!

i have to say, though...i saw Fahrenheit 9-11 last night (it was awesome, everyone should see it) and there were some grade-A leftist assholes in the crowd. there were between a dozen and three dozen people who would loudly "HAH" when Bush said something dumb (letting everyone know that they thought he was dumb, instead of just laughing along with the rest of us) or applauded stuff on the screen, like when that Marine said he would refuse to return to Iraq (remember when that aggravating woman did that all through The Fog of War? i hate political audiences).

but that wasn't what made me think they were grade-A assholes. when that Lipscomb woman came on crying and talking about her dead son, this group began applauding! i mean, whoa. you guys know how anti-military i am, and i think that soldiers generally get what they deserve for signing up. but i can't even imagine my asshole conservative friends applauding en masse if an Iraqi woman came on crying about her dead son. (they also applauded when Moore sadly informed us that "the Shiites and Sunnis are beginning to join forces against the US", so they had more or less established a pattern of the kind of knee-jerk America-sucks-ism that conservatives like to say suffuses the left. way to prove them wrong, assholes)

let state for the record that i bet if i were to be exposed to extreme leftists i would most likely be pissed off at them too because i bet they act the same way. the only thing is that i have yet to hear extreme left radio show talk hosts or anything yet but i am certain they would make me angry too.

odd; the conservative talk radio station here that has all the annoying djs mentioned here is 97.1, which is extremely close to that station on the dial. it must be that number's conservative voodoo or something.

one of the main reasons I went to XM radio was the only news station in Columbus carries Rash Limbaugh and I don't consider him news. I can only handle NPR in small doses because all their hosts talk in faux earnest tones designed to convey their superiority.
Also, the station here which carried the phil hendrie show changed formats and I am a huge fan.

OH YES. Phil hendrie is amazing. they used to have him here, but that same station (the conservative one i mentioned) got rid of him. they even cut glenn beck to only 1 hr in the middle of the day, who was the only semi-conservative dj i could stand. he doesn't usually mudsling like the others, is actually funny, and considers both parties' sides at least a little more equally
