The Free Food for Thought Fireplace Talkshow

Seriously, and the US is probably the easiest country to get into legally, so there's no excuse. If you want to come over here illegally and make tax free money or whatever, fuck off.

This is really such an American way of thinking. It's easy to come here with a Visa, but once that expires you are expected to return to your country and very little leniency is given on that. This makes it difficult for the Visa user because he/she's making more money here, but any family emergency or emergency in general where they are caught without a Visa/Greencard they are deported back to their country and cannot return here for 10 years.

How most do it (including my parents) they had their Visas expire, worked for x amount of years, then applied for citizenship. This means 10 years of not seeing their families and working really shitty jobs. It's not easy. My dad was lucky enough to be exceptional in science that got him a grant/scholarship from the States so he could study medicine here, so he was legal.

Some friends I know (and they are French European and they aren't given much leniency either) marry someone to obtain citizenship. Getting your citizenship is NEVER that easy, especially now..

Onder if you haven't seen this already this kid basically sums it all up:

Speaking of Egypt when I first made fb and it was getting all weird with wanting to know everything about you, the first guesses of where I grew up and such was in Cairo Egypt. Ha. My boyfriend's dad is from Egypt (well they are not ethnically Egyptian but his family lived there for 100s of years because they are directly related to Qaitbay) so i've got lots of Egyptian acquaintances. :kickass:

From what I've read, more than 5 female journalists got gang raped in that square during the revolution.

Feminists like bitching about the "white male", what about all of these guys?

I had a dream last night. I dreamt I was a dove flying over the sea. And then I dove into the ocean... And I swam with the dolphins. I was two animals joined as one...which meant - good things are coming. Good things.

i'm thinking about renting office-space

and then just sleeping in my office

i can get an office in a nice part of town even cheaper than an apt in the ghetto

i've got a camping stove to cook on and a 5-gallon colapsable water jug and blankets and i could easily get a blow-up-matress from wal-mart,

what do you guys think??
should i just get an office and sleep in my office??

Do you have the money? You still didn't post pictures of your cave and you claimed you already had the camera tbh, will you ever post them? How are the temperatures there during winter?

i have a disability check
but it doesn't go very far

the sleeping-in-my-office idea came from the fact that the office space (even in the nice part of town) would be a whole hell of a lot cheaper than an apt (even in the ghetto)

camera got stolen
might but another one after i rent office space

also
already bought my costume for animefest
https://animefest.org/

Did some of your junkie friends steal your camera to have money for crack?

no, no, not crack
they stole it for that potpurri stuff everyone in Dallas is smoking to get high, it's that stuff that says right on the package "do not burn this product"

You cant just rent office space like you can rent an apartment. Ever heard of a building inspector, fire marshall, and credit check? Also Electric Bill, Insurance, and other amenities

A guy I knew bought an office space and made it into an apartment but that consisted of more than just bringing a fucking inflatable mattress and a camping stove. There is supposed to be some legal procedure too, however I think this guy just had a deal with the house owner who probably didn't give much shit about him bringing 16 year olds to the basement. Office space my dick.

the building inspector/fire marshal things (in Dallas texas) are taken care of by the building before ofice space is allowed to be rented out, the renter doesn't have to deal with them

boxer properties doesn't do credit checks because they just ask for last month's rent up front

and because of shit i don't want to talk about

renting office easier than renting apt

How much / month if I may ask?

I think it is technically illegal because I know when my dad had a workplace that was rented, he couldn't legally sleep there. Might be different in the USA, but I doubt it. Insurance probably counts on it not being "a dwelling" at night.

Wouldn't it be better/easier to just rent a room, or look into getting public housing? You wouldn't be running into all those building regulations that you'd run into by living in an office.

in the USA, people sleep in their offices all the freaking time, and many office renters actually sleep in their office because they have no other dwelling (albeit ususally temporarily)

"renting a room" would cost more than the office space, getting an actual apt of my own would cost even more than "renting a room" and my understanding is that boxer properties would be handling all the "building regulations" and as far as i know, no one would actually give a shit about whether or not i slept in my office
700 a month is alright if you don't pay for shelter, food, or internet. Do you spend all your money on meth?

bought alot of stuff actually

-steel-toed shoes, currently own 2 pairs
-ice-chest
-ice and food to go inside the ice-chest
-blankets/pillows
-propane-operated-camping stove
-propane to run the stove
-gasoline-powered lamps and flashlights
-gasoline to run the lamps and batteries to run the flashlights
-going to http://www.animefest.org/ and i bought a costume
-beer weed ciggarettes
-that weird potpourri crap that my friends smoke (the shit that says "do not burn this product" on the package)
-bus passes for the whole month (instead of just buying them one day at a time)
