What's more shocking to me is that the cancer wasn't diagnosed earlier. He had been sick for a really long time. Diagnosed on 26th and dead on 28th. That's fucking brutal.

But seriously, my local band-member friends insisted that 7-string was the obvious choice for the kind of music I wanted to play and that I can simply ignore the extra string until I feel comfortable.

Edit : And it allows me to play some drop-tuning riffs without constantly having to re-tune the guitar.
