edit: btw... by heavy, I mean Wormed type heavy. This thread is essentially a product of my laziness which prevents me from reading all of Brutal Death Metal thread, with the hope of a few other gems to be thrown in as well.

Swans - The early stuff and especially the live album called Public Castration is a Good Idea. They were so loud and heavy that they shook buildings, caused their audiences pain and vomiting and almost invariably resulted in the police being called.

Anyways, yes... I love this band, definitely one of my favorites. I own Icon, but I haven't bought the others yet, as they are expensive (converting from dollars to euros is not fun).
