shit, I have Forest of Equilibrium but I never listen to it. no time like the present! I read some review that said Cathedral is WAY heavier than Electric Wizard. I don't know if thats even possible but we'll see.

ok, this Cathedral doesn't really do it for me in terms of heaviness either. I turned it off after a couple of tracks and put on "Sleep's Holy Mountain"

Forest of Equilibrium is so eeire weird and creepy sometimes. For the time there is nothing nearly as heavy or like it and it still crushes just about everything imo. I'm sure people probably consider newer albums like electric wizard -dopethrone more heavy but this album was not released in 91 either.

If we're talking doom, IMO the heaviest doom bands are most certainly Thergothon, Wreck of the Hesperus, Esoteric, and Evoken.
