I think you state a good point there. In addition to that; what do you think of people that start to dislike their former favourite band as soon as they get a little bigger and sell more records.
The fact that people see it as very uncool (yikes.. I hate the word) if there are 15 year old chaps listening to their fav. bands.

Would I stop listening to miranda sex garden or autechre if they'd grow really big? I guess not, as long as they keep making great music.

1. Be very kind to her/him. He/She will feel very shamed (if he/she even knows that he/she disappointed you).

or

2. Disappoint him/her the same way if you can the way he/she will understand that he/she done wrong to you too.

or

3. Tell it to her/him.

or

4. Think of it again why did you think highly of him/her ?

5. Don't waste time on her/him. Turn your back and leave.
