Nick Hornby wrote it, who also wrote High Fidelity and About a Boy, all of these have been made into films as you may already know :p

Fever Pitch is about his being an Arsenal fan for 25+ years now, in fact, it doesn't have a storyline as such, but it's just as fascinating. I couldn't quote any favourite part as yet, and all parts are equally funny I think.
 
I read it (in English) and have to say that I was a bit disappointed because I couldn't relate to his thoughts as easily as I expected to, although I'd call myself a fan. Perhaps my life lacks the part where dad drags me to the stadium for example, 'cause I did it myself in later years. Still it's a funny book.

edit: High Fidelity is nice, too.
