Is it just me or one of The Moor main melodies/riff is very similar to the Dume Theme Brian Eno wrote for the David Lynch movie !

I ll always remember the first time I put Still Life and as soon as the riff started I said to myself : Arakis !!

The same thing goes through my head every single time I listen to The Moor.

Sorry I don't have a link , you'll have to rent/buy/borrow/download the movie or check out a P2P site to check out the Dune's soundtrack !

The rest of the soundtrack was played by Toto !

Moor
Pronunciation: 'mur
: a boggy area; especially : one that is peaty and dominated by grasses and sedges

Dune
Pronunciation: 'dün also 'dyün
: a hill or ridge of sand piled up by the wind

Yes, I can see the similarities, although I don't know how this is relevant on this bored.

edit: Actually there is no similarity whatsoever, they are pretty much the opposite.

please tell me somebody else hacked your account and wrote that to make a fool of you.

as for the original post:

a really dark, creepy interpretation of the dune overall, but an average movie for lynch...no question about it. but since anything lynch touches is gold, well yeah good movie. and that eno composition sounds really like that stuff on the moor hahaha

I was actually going to post something about this, glad someone else hears the similarities. I hear melodies in metal/non metal music that sound like movie themes and/or tv shows all the time, its bound to happen.
