I absolutely love Still Life's opening track. Still Life is probably my first or second favorite album by Opeth. White Cluster is my favorite track off it though, it gets me so pumped.
Favorite song off Still Life. Sometimes, I take the album out just to listen to that track. I love the line, "If you'll bear with me, you'll fear of me."
One of the pinnacle achievements in music, that line.
Easily the best song off of STILL LIFE for me, and it always makes my top 5 Opeth songs of all time without fail... The only other song that does that is "To Bid You Farewell."
a little overrated. mind-blowing when you first hear it, but it does get a little old after a bit. other songs on SL top it, like Moonlapse Vertigo, or Serenity Painted Death
The Moor is an awesome song, perfect for the start of an Opeth album. The acoustic lead-in to the punishing riffs of the start is just awesome, the calm before the storm. I love the melodic singing of the 'chorus' if you can call it that, too. Opeth's reliance on 3/4 beats make these songs so much heavier and more bombastic, and this song is a thrilling listen every time.
a really good song, still life is THE opeth album. Face of Melinda and Serenity Painted Death is although better(actually the best songs, if you dont count Deliverance....)
