Plin: Didn't think we'd figured out the lyrics to the whole song via the quick look on the vid, but I'll run with what you had. From memory,

nothing that favors the few

That's all I can remember right now - more when I can listen later.

Im a tad disappointed I must say. It's not a bad song, but it doesnt sound very inspired. Maybe it's just me, but I find it has a terrible aftertaste of "Heard before"

having in mind what [possibly] is pleasing you - no wonder.

Your face ???? ??? figure to be discover map
Drowning the sound so lost in order
Its understatement word ???? knowledge
??????????
??????????
In the silence that speaks to me now

A ??? by closure with no sense of pride

I think some of the "Whenever"s is actually "whatever", if not all of them.

also:

Your face is a map I fail to discover
Something about "...stalemate to break" in the third verse before "In the silence that speaks to me now"

"A ??? by closure with no sense of pride " could be "Attempted by the closure...", although that sounds a bit strange.

Yea I expected a reply like that :)
But what is (possibly) pleasing me then?

I know it's easy to just say "Pfff yea, I dont like it!" but I have a right to speak my mind, no?
Im not gonna stand here and say "Yay, yay.. so great!" just because it's DT. The album is gonna be a different matter, but right now, Focus Shift is the issue and Im not too thrilled.

Anyway, feel free to flame right away :)

Intro is more like The Mind's I era, chorus is definitely something like Character, the beginning of the solo has something from the solo of Food For The Gods by In Flames :p Ok, that was a joke  A kickass solo no doubt. Hmmm... but the lyrics seem a lot different from anything else.

Bah, of course we won't flame you for not liking it. I will, however, refer you to Villain's sig. I think it applies. :p

To be quite honest, I like the song. I don't think it's incredible though. It's a solid song, but... I guess I'm not sure how to qualify it. Is it a heavy song? Kinda. Is it a slower song? Not really, but it reminds me of My Negation. Heavy, but not really pounding. Don't get me wrong - I love My Negation.

I think this'll just take some more listens. All in all, it has psyched me up about the album, though.

Nah, we are entitled to have an opinion, I just wouldn't let overall feeling rule anything drastic out.

I must say, that keys lack atmosphere at this point :S Hope it's gona be improved somehow - I'm 100% for keyboards and electronics, but this particular bit sounds strange to me.

Further [somewhat] dissection: drumming more reminded me of Damage and Character, yeah, but I can't say too much of The Gallery (right away).

But still... guitar solos - man, Niklas might not like to talk about technical stuff (he said something like that in one of the interviews), but - man, whatever that is and however that's done, it's a bullseye! I think I can differ Niklas' work, and I surely love sound of it :)

Preview tracks suck in quality, so I can't distinguish bass very well, can't wait to hear it on a CD :D

Teh growling ist back. Oh boy :)

Ok, to be honest, I agree with Kov, It's not that incredible. Where Death is Most Alive (Terminus) definitely kicks major ass in general, and more than this one. But I can't believe it, such an awesome solo! Sounds like a sweep, and that's something new for sure :)

Well at least my post inspired the first of you to crawl out of your fanboy shells and voice a little criticism.

Talesin, I really resent that remark.

Seriously. I'm still a fucking fanboy.

Dammit.

EDIT: Surprised. Followed the Blabber link and expected retardation and flaming to abound. Rather relieving to see that isn't the case.

To clarify above, I'm psyched for the album. I just have a feeling that this is one of the one or two songs per album that I don't really get into. Each album has them, and it doesn't make me like the album any less. I'll have to listen to the album as a whole first before I pass judgement.

I feel the same :)

And I hope you're not really pissed off :p
