Why does CM upload the worst songs for dt on their website? Well, not worst, I do like Through Smudged Lenses, but surely not the best... Weird, eh?

And BAI, that is true - but the problem is that you'd have a very limited selection of songs that most people would like, and those people probably have already heard of DT - so you want to put out songs that are a bit off DT's center to appeal to more people.

Actually, no. People who already know dt are aware of their music. However, people who aren't, don't know shit about it, they're new fans or so, therefore they have to upload the best songs for them in order for them to like it.

Well, I am a fanboy, Imust admit, and I'm sure most of my Canadian freidns know that , but as I said before:
"I love this song!"
Ye know it feels really good, as I stated on my 1st post about it, the only thing I don't like is the drumming, rather monotonous ye know? So I think I made a good critic about the song, being a fanboy and all.
C'mon Talesin we won't flame ye, you have an opinion and we (at least I) respect that , we're not in the COB phorum ye know? 
I think the keyboards are pretty good on this song, they're obviously not the main focus, 'cause the guitars obviously are. F&^*^% amazing guitar solos... .
Now what I would really like to hear is WDIMA and BAH with that kind of audio quiality, a good one ye know?
Because as I already stated, I didn't like those songs very much, to the point of making a thread of "I am worried," (which I am much less now obviously ), so i would like to hear them in good quality to see if my opinion changes, 'cause I think the quality of those 2 songs affected a lot my judgement of them.

BAI: Except that, referencing our other thread, it is very subjective, especially for DT, which the best of the songs are. In fact, it's very nearly impossible. There's probably about 3-4 songs that people here might actually be able to agree on as being 'favorites'. Maybe.
My point was that the best you'll ever get with any 4 single songs from different albums is going to be a semi-average of DT's discography. I.e., doesn't matter which you pick, you won't be able to encapsulate it anyway, so pick whichever songs you want.

What gets me so psyched is that while I think that Focus Shift kicks ass, I have a feeling that it's probably not even among the best songs on the album. Of course I haven't heard the rest of album so I can't be sure, but I just get that feeling from the song, like it's one of the more "average" songs from the album.
And if this song, as good as it is, isn't even among the best songs, imagine how awesome the rest of the songs must be

edit: Before you point it out: I know Projector is not the title of a song. Also, whoever heard "Insignificunt" in the song is being silly. "Insignificant" is pronounced the very same way and you're just running after things you've read. Stop trying so hard.

I am a fanboy and I love it, way more than many Character's song. But I am still hoping to like Character more in the futur (happened with Damage Done, so why not with Character).
The only thing which "scare" me is that we have 3 songs previewed (counting the 2 which are crappy live version) and the 3 are fast...thats 100% of the song previewed...But oh well, there will be slower stuff, there must be !
And one thing bother me...Do we call a song posted on the band page without any warning a "press release"?
Ok all the webzine got a mail or summit like that but seriously, CM could have done something a bit less underground...I mean, if you check DT website and only CM welcome page, you will not even know the infos + the new song are on the web...But oh well, you will know (and that for the last 6 month) that Iced Earth has a DVD...big deal...
Anyway, thanks a lot to the band for this song, you guys cheered up my day !
