The New Neurosis

No. People are telling me I should though.

How does it compare to Through Silver in Blood, as that's the only Neurosis I have (and love)? Next Neurosis I want is the one with Jarboe, because Jarboe makes me horny, in the musical way.

The psychedelic and atmosphere thing I like, the melodic bit can work just fine, but this soul reassignment makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

It hasn't hit me yet. I'm sure it will, in time. I'm still waiting for the band to return to the sonic heaviness of Through Silver in Blood and Times of Grace.

I do think it's better than A Sun That Never Sets, though.

FUCK, I'll get to it... I only have 3985 other albums on my to buy list first :loco:

okay, the list actually only about 40 albums long, but yeah. I'll get it soon enough.. maybe sooner, since people are telling me to get it all the time.

The new Neurosis is a killer. That thing crushes in a totally different way than their old heavy stuff. Neurosis is taking the path that Swans did with their career . . . only a more metal path.

Of course it's brilliant. I wouldn't expect anything less from Neurosis. They own me.

A Sun That Never Sets is actually my favorite from them. That albums consumes my soul and transcends time/space. Fuck...

I must admit, I love TSIB, but I don't pretend to understand half of it. I still need to give that album more time.

I still can't fully appreciate it. The only song that has really hit me is "Bridges". I really don't like those quiet moments; reminds me of Von Till's and Scott Kelly's solo albums too much.
