Neurosis & Mindrot

I don't know this Mindrot band but Neurosis are one of the finest groupings of musician in the history of... time. Yes, time!

I do what I'm told.

EDIT: Pretty cool, just scoped out the first two tracks on Dawning. I didn't love it, but it's different enough to warrant further listening. Kind of reminded me of Arcane Sun, in a specific sort of way.

Nadrick, you need to listen to the entire album, as it's pretty varied. Listen to this song for unadulterated doom/death, quite different from the upbeat opening.

:kickass:

I'm on a self-imposed CD purchasing moratorium, but this has been added to my list! I dug what I heard last night after it sunk in a bit. Does it count as supporting local music if the band broke up 15 years ago? :loco:

I have "Dawning" and like it very much, but haven't listened quite enough to fully grasp it. Let me just say, though, that it just struck me that this "Internal Isolation" song sounds so much like early ANATHEMA it's almost embarassing. Being really awesome saves it.
