ME AND MY GUITAR! And my lights! And my kitchen! WTF?!?:Smokin:

one of the first things i learned on teh guitar was some Metallica riffs, like seek and destroy, fade to black and nothing else matters.

...and nothing else matters.

anyone can play that  At least the very-very intro :Smug:

I was in music school for piano for 5 years, but it was absolutely useless at the time (I quit when I was 11-12), as I didn't have any interest in music. Imagine - I didn't even have a CD/casette player at the time, no iea about which music I liked and had to learn all those classical things... booooring.

Well, at least I've got some skills, may be will get back to it one day.

i can play more than the very begining now and when i started i learned more than just the thing where you have to play the "empty" strings .. actually i can play the whole thing, including the solo (it is not a very hard one) :heh:
I also played the piano in a music school for 5 years, from 11 bis 16. But then i got bored with classic music, and discovered metal and started to play the guitar. What i hated in music school, is that the teachers think that learning your instrument is all what you have time to do, and always tell you that you didnt work enough... and the solfege was awfully boring... worst is that when you are done with solfege, in Belgium, you have to take some absolutely other unuseful class instead of it, like music history or choral singing (the last one was quite fun actually).

Well, music history and choir singing were fun (I was told I had a good voice, but years of alcohol abuse and deep throating accomplished their vicious mission), but there was one class which was never meant for tone-deaf people as I was.

And during that class I learned that most girls were fucking bitches... cunts. Anyway, I wish I discovered metal THEN, because there are a hundred million kids who wanna play guitarrr (and suck at it miserably), while keyboards are one great atmospheric instrument - Nightwish, DT and Borgir would be my main influences.

But...

 a lot of the girls that were in my music class were awfull too... i really didnt like their style/way of acting either. There werent many boys, but at least they werent ass-kisser as were most of the girls i met there.
