I didn't expect Voyager to be able to live up to their live show at all on their CDs but I was happily proven wrong. "Univers" in particular kicks about a thousand arses
The big surprises for me out of those purchases were just how good Stu and John 5's solo albums are. I was expecting fairly generic shred from Stu and was instead treated to one of the better solo releases by an Aussie rock/metal guitarist since Chris Brooks' "The Master Plan". John 5's solo albums are jawdropping too. He's an unbelievably underrated guitarist and it's hard to imagine what the fuck he was thinking in settling for playing with Marilyn Manson.
