Without evidence. He's just trying to stop the mail in ballots from being counting because they lean Dem. I think he might win anyways and doesn't need to go all 12th sub level of Republican conspiracy theory on us. He's vastly outperforming the polls and should have just focused on that.

But damn if this isn't an indictment on the Democratic establishment. They might lose to a reality TV star for a second time. And the mainstream media shoved propaganda down our throats about Biden being electable

Looking more and more like we're gonna have a Biden presidency plus a Republican majority senate. Possibly the worst possible formula. Absolutely nothing is happening over the next two years. Republicans will go back to pretending like they care about the budget and block all spending except the military budget.

Oh please, no ones gonna stop you from snob reviewing weird 70s pornos.

tbh I’ll just be glad when there’s something else to talk about

Would that be a similar situation to Obama's presidency?

Agreed, except that this is the best possible formula. We'll enjoy a conservative Obama-esque presidency rather than a radical-leftist Trump presidency where rioters run wild, gun regulations are issued as executive orders, and blacks are promised 500 billion in "loans" because equity.

fwiw Michigan's senate seat ended up blue, so it's looking more like 50-50, with Kamala the tiebreaker. Which really is the worst possible formula because every time someone tries to rename a federal building or declare a new ethnicity day/week/month there will be HD footage of Kamala Harris mm-hmm'ing and wagging her finger before voting in favor of the Dems, and within a year when she breaks the record for most ties broken in US history, every magazine found in the aisle of your local grocery will proclaim her the most powerful and ambitious vice president in our history and an inspiration to womyn everywhere, just before they pull the plug on Biden and give Kamala the big chair.

Repubs will keep the Senate. North Carolina, Alaska and one of Georgia's seats will go red if the numbers hold. This would give them 51.

Georgia has Perdue at only 50.1%, and in Georgia a candidate has to get 50% to win outright. If it goes to a runoff there's a decent chance he still loses since it means eliminating the Libertarian Party guy (who is sitting at 2.7%), in a year where the LP is likely taking more Dem votes than Rep votes (nationally, Jo is averaging 1% compared to Johnson's 4%). Also, the few percent of still-uncounted ballots in Georgia are from mostly-Dem urban areas. Not saying it will absolutely go 50-50, just that it's a very real possibility.

What policy do think Biden wants to pass to allow more riots? That makes no sense. He'll crack protester's skulls, just like Obama did.

Gun regulations... sure, if you're opposed to those it's a good thing. You're obviously to the right of me, so I get it. That said, I don't think it's good for our legislative branch to continue down this path of doing nothing. It would be better if they actually did their job, and if people were unsatisfied with the result, they voted to replace them. Instead what we have is a bunch of game playing piled upon decades of inaction from congress. It's toxic to our democracy.

I realize being an adult child leaves you rather blind to how many people have lost their jobs/businesses from the pandemic, but for at least the next two years most sane people would prioritize un-gridlocking pandemic relief in Congress over keeping in check "radical excesses" that are relatively minuscule in scale/severity. Which, by the way, would actually cut down on rioting since there'd be fewer unemployed people.

I realized it might be worse. I could see Biden doing a grand bargain with Mitch McConnell and cutting Social Security in exchange for something stupid. He's obsessed with negotiating with Republicans.

I heard rumours that Bernie is gunning for Labour secretary. Do you think it would hurt Biden to fill his cabinet with progressives?

Biden's cabinet will have more Republicans than progressives. I don't think he will pick Bernie and if he did I think the Republicans would block him if they had the numbers. Same goes for any other progressives. And I think that will hurt Biden, because the Venn Diagram of people Biden and the Republican Senators both approve of is the epitome of the swamp.

Now, if I end up being wrong and he puts progressives in is cabinet it will probably help him, so long as they're focusing on economic related issues. It's the wokester identity politics that turns people off. Most of Sanders' economic ideas ($15 minimum wage, green jobs, Medicare for All, wealth tax) have majority public support.
