"What's up folks, well it is day 3 and we are moving along nicely I think, first day was all getting tones and setting up and yesterday I got 2 songs done, today will be shooting for 3! Check out a quick vid of me and Gregg Keplinger who came by to tune the drums for the sessions...(I just hit the things with the things, not much in the tuning dept. but working on it.) Well Mr B the approach we have taken with the Doors song...at first Jeff made it too heavy, I suggested we just do it all acoustic and the result was amazing, perhaps not what you might expect but it turned out quite beautiful

Jeff Loomis: But I think that with the new NEVERMORE, it still sounds like the band, but I think I'm giving Warrel [Dane, vocals] a little bit more room this time around for more vocals rather than all the notey, kind of complex stuff and all that, so this time around it's just a little bit more wide open musically for him to really be able to do whatever he wants vocally this time around. So we'll see what happens. It's gonna be an interesting album for us, for sure.

Very interesting. I sense a bit slower songs and grandieuse choruses...

shit, repeating it all would only be 5 min, why not do both?! i can totally picture the heaviness and where the high shrieks should go, replace that piano solo with some wahed out shredding and youve got yourselves a song! cmon, listen to some dude on the internet MY OPINION MATTERS!
