Here's my poodle, I've stepped on her a few times in the dark because she's so black.

Nice one, Poodles are actually great dogs. They are generally quite intelligent and they don't shed hair. We've got 2 here. Here is one of them:

Oh god, without question. Well, one of my cats, but the other one once killed a baby cyote. He is a monster and could probably take him.

There are coyotes in Massachusetts? I had no idea. A coyote is a breed of dog that happens to be wild (as are wolves), so it's kind of ironic that one of your cats essentially killed a dog.

There are many coyotes in MA, I figured you knew that. Yeah, my cat is insane. Kills EVERYTHING. During the summer we find dead animals, mostly mice, rabbits, and birds everywhere. Once we saw him walking up to the house with something in his mouth the size of a large rabbit, and alas, it was a baby coyote. Damn.

Well, I live in the city, and grew up in a suburb close to the city. You live in a much more rural area of Mass than I ever have. We don't have coyotes in any of the areas I've ever lived.

We have coyotes in the woods very close to my house, if I go outside late at night I'll be sure to hear them yelp. And the dogs fight with them too.

Which suburb do you live in? I don't think we have coyotes anywhere too close to the city (Cambridge, Watertown, Newton, etc.).
