The official movie thread

haha, I liked that movie too =)
I like the ideologic worth of it

all his movies are the same ideology. some shit about god and how we are all linked. it's not that big of a deal brah and he didn't even come up with it and we don't need 50 movies about it.

could be...
I just liked the whole "and he will write a book that will infuance humanity and cause revolution" etc. stuff.
It was not really the same as the other movies I saw by him (the village, the sixth sence)

it's not really a good movie, but I liked it nevertheless

I wanted to see Blue Velvet but my bf, who is a big Lynch fan, told me it's not that good but anyway I'm gonna see it and judge by myself.

Yeah, I'd definitely see it no matter what. I personally think it's VERY good(though nothing can top Mulholland's Drive.)

Heh, funny...Lynch's films seem to have this eerie and awkward vibe that seems to be more along the lines of Silent Hill than the SH movie itself. I have always thought so. Great use of camera angles.

I just bought the new Mike Judge movie, Idiocracy, starring Luke Wilson. It was fucking hilarious. It's about an average guy who gets frozen and wakes up 500 years in the future, where everyone has devolved into stupidity, making him the smartest person on the planet. Oh, and Maya Rudolph plays a whore. Great movie.

Sounds interesting.

Yesterday I watched Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, it was awesome, nothing I didn't already know, but a great confirmation of Metal and its stereotypes and stigmas. And a confirmation of why I love Metal! \m/ Dee Snider fuckin' ruled.

to me it was more like a B-production Hallmark movie.

first of all, bad acting. and better not to mention the Pan "costume" (Pan acting.. what acting?)

the only good actor was that "bad guy", and his "brutality", but halfway through the film you just know he will be executed till the end of the film in order to have a happy ending.

what is it in that film that you liked so much?

i am bit of disappointed in your taste, as someone who likes david lynch movies

ok, let's agree to disagree here.

you saw it through the eyes of a film student and probably saw something you liked; i saw it as "the best movie of the year" and saw nothing i liked. the departed, even as a remake, beats the shit out of it, if you ask me.

What are you talking about???

the acting was great, it was very imaginative but most of all it had a good story because in the the creator left it open to whether or not it was all in her head or not.

OMG u suck... u should label that kinda post with big letter *SPOILERS* :( i was hoping to watch the movie soon

Who's going to go see Blood & Chocolate this friday? Damn, I saw more than a few tv spots for it already and it has this cool look to it. Plus, it's from the same producers as the Underworlds, as I thought they were both pretty damn good (;) Kate Beckinsale is one fine looking woman.) I really think it could be something worthwhile. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Today I saw 'Babel' of Alejandro González Iñárritu, and I liked it very much. I honestly didn't have much expectations about it but it turned out to be a very well done movie with really great performances. I have to admit Brad Pitt's performance was great in my opinion, I am amazed. Maybe because it was not what I was used to see... it was another Brad Pitt, a more serious one, and a very good one. The different stories going on during the movie and all the things you see, everything really good. I am satisfied with it, glad it was better than I thought it was gonna be.

'Despite' being pretty boys, most of them are actually damn good actors, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jared Leto (Requiem for a Dream)..

As I'm really into Asian cinema you should watch "Ichi the killer" i's really a extreme movie, very cool, or Battle Royale, by Kitano. :notworthy

The Pan's labyrinth it's a masterpiece as most of Guillermo del Toro personal movies try to see The Devil's Backbone, (El espinazo del diablo). It's suposed that this movie is something like that a precuel (do this word exist?:err:) to Pan's labyrinth. It doesn't share history but the place and theme are similar, Spanish civil war but this time with ghost. Highly recomended, trust me.
