How is it? I have heard mixed reviews.....

I really like the new CF album. It has a slower, somewhat sludgier sound to it. In alot of ways I feel like it bears more resemblance to their Hellhammer days at times...but with a better sound and production. I've seen elsewhere where people were accusing it of sounding too "modern" and even saw people saying it had Pantera-ish guitar parts in it. I think that's insane, I don't get that at all.

Honestly, if you like the overall vibe and darkness of old CF/Hellhammer, and you're open to stuff that's more sludgy-doomy with some real ambient, weird moments, then it's worth checking out. I think there's some really catchy parts on this cd, too.
