About to experiment with rice. There is no food in my room except a bag of rice, some hot sauce, salt, and olive oil. So that's what's going in the pot. I might be a genius.
and yes I don't like pilaf because the rice is often mushy. I would invert the list in that order but when I say "white rice" I am referring to sticky rice, not that fucking horrible bland non sticky white rice they have in the west.
perhaps risotto wins over sticky rice though. or chahan (similar to Chinese style fried rice).
