The pics thread

Finally got a new truck! Traded my shitbox 92 Mercury in and got this, it's an 09 Nissan Titan. Long overdue, i now have something with air conditioning and horsepower as a daily driver.

Real freedom and convenience is the ability to hover in place or fly at supersonic speeds in the same vehicle! We should seriously put funds together to build flying saucers.
"The government is very touchy about us being in the air. Let us run around on the ground as much as we want. Anything in the air is a big production."

"Yeah, right. And what about the floating cities?"

"And the underwater bubble cities?"

"It's like we're living in the '50s here"

Cars are like sex. When you haven't had it yet it is easier to dismiss it as not worthwhile.

I disagree. I haven't owned a car yet and consider it something very worthwhile and almost essential. Whereas sex, i don't consider it something special, it's just a normal thing to me. I don't care if i have sex now or 5 years later.

I think people in their early teens often have difficulty thinking of anything other than sex. It's not really the same thing with cars.

The problem with non-traditional transportation (in this case, anything but cars), is the huge undertaking of building that kind of infrastructure. It's an incredibly difficult and expensive thing that everyone, government and private sector alike, is loathe to attempt.

I'm not saying it's easy to change it or anything. I'm just saying the change would do wonders for the environment and other things. We could have more resources that we could use to defend against hostile aliens that could show up at any point in the future.

Too bad mushrooms aren't vegetables.

I just think that building cities and other settlements to create convenient transportation via car ends up wasting a lot of space and resources. If stuff were built without making space for roads, there would be more space for parks, residential areas, etc. People could ride bikes to get where they want to go, and if they need to travel long distances they can take a train or fly. Of course, moving pretty much requires a truck, but other alternatives can be created.

Such pipe dreams are fun to think about, but politics tend to be way too disorganized & corrupt to make megaprojects like that possible. Your time would be better spent trying to figure out how to get people to elect politicians who aren't shitty and worthless.

Also, we've been gutting the public transportation plans for this country for a long time in the name of "saving money".

Nice upgrade, you will shortly join that exclusive "pays out the ass for gas" club. Only drawback to having a big truck. Totally worth it though.
Thanx. Yeah its not the best on gas mileage but i'm only driving 12 minutes to work so its not a huge deal for me. Next i'm going to throw some 40 series Flowmasters on it and chrome step rails.

a Nissan? you fucking wop bitch!
nice truck.

Also, thanks Pat!

Too bad our economic and foreign policy is built around inflation, perpetual war, and innovative repression, or we would probably all be teleporting around with F&F by now.
