The pics thread

you should visit ghent and Brugge when you have the chance, it's those cities have very nice old buildings too

I was going to visit Brugge during our time in Belgium, but I got very sick with gastro-enthritis. Luckily we were staying with friends, because I was shitting blood all day. Luckily I got better in time to visit Brussels and Leuven before heading back into Germany to see Cologne and Aachen.

I was mainly in Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. But I did swing by Brussels and Leuven and took a few pics there.

I'll have a few big posts with more pics. Starting here are my Belgium pics.

The town hall building in Leuven.

Now on to Brussels. Here are some pics of St. Michael's Cathedral.

I've been to all those places. I even played the St. Micheals organ.

I was in Brugge (no pics because our camera only held ~20 and we had used them) and it reminds me of your pics. Some amazing buildings and definitely the best beer out of the whole trip. They also had horse drawn carriages throughout the city. Plus both a metal and Tintin store!

btw, your Dad looks badass in that last pic.

OK, here's my Germany pics. I was in Germany three separate times over the course of the trip, and I visited many cool places.

My first stop was Eisenach, where Bach was born and raised.

I stopped by the Wartburg Castle, where Martin Luther translated the Bible.

Next we went to Dresden, which did a great job of rebuilding its Baroque buildings after the war. Still, the left the spires and statues burnt as a reminder.

We also stayed in a town call Rothenburg, which is a preserved medieval town with a fully-restored city wall and towers.

We swung by Aachen Cathedral where Charlemagne is buried.

And then Cologne Cathedral, which is huge as fuck. Probably my favorite of all that I've seen.

Next was Wroclaw, Poland where I met up with (M)aggot for some food and drink. We had long discussions about metal and cultural differences. Very enlightening.

I've got more photos on facebook. If you would like some more from a certain place, please request.

Zephyrus those pictures are great, but I am sure they don't do the trip justice----Those kinds of places are indescribable, even in pictures. I hope I get to Paris someday soon. =)

Some pictures from my Spiritual Midwifery book.

That's how I want to give birth------- Happy and with my man by my side. Though hopefully i'll be less hairy. :p

Don't ask me why I love this picture; I just do.

Some crap I'm painting at work:
This time its' not so silly----Just flowers.

It's hard to see the detail in these...Cheap digital camera obviously.

In fact I leave tomorrow so goodbye to everyone here. I look forward to (hopefully) checking in with you guys in Paris. I the head to the south of France so I wont be able to get a hold of the internet on my laptop.

So therefor I will be gone for three weeks. This post explains the sudden lack of posts by me.
