Classic swedish stuff. I have never tasted it but its famout for smelling AWFUL. There are lots of stories about how people opened cans of this, "surströmming", at school and they had to evacuate the school because the smell was to hard to deal with.

Haha we have done just that,put it in the air conditioning system in high school,they didn´t evacuate it but it sure smelled rotten fish in there.
But as food it´s probable one of my top five dishes.
